Booking and Cancellation Policy for Your Safari
Planning a safari requires careful coordination between lodges, transport providers, park authorities, and conservation agencies. Our Booking and Cancellation Policy ensures that every journey is organized smoothly while providing transparency and flexibility for our travelers. Once a safari itinerary is confirmed, we begin securing accommodations, guides, park access, and other essential services to guarantee that your experience runs seamlessly from arrival to departure.
To confirm a safari booking, travelers are required to make an initial 30% deposit of the total safari cost. This deposit secures your reservation and allows us to begin confirming all necessary services for your itinerary. We understand that planning a safari often requires financial flexibility, so guests are welcome to pay the remaining balance in installments according to their convenience. However, the full balance must be cleared at least one month before the safari start date to ensure all bookings are finalized.

Special Payment Terms for Primate Safaris
Safaris that include primate experiences such as gorilla or chimpanzee trekking require a different payment structure due to the nature of permit reservations. Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking permits must be secured well in advance through national park authorities, and these permits are limited and non-transferable. For safaris that include primate trekking, a 60% deposit is required at the time of booking in order to secure the necessary permits and confirm availability.
Once permits are purchased, they are issued under the traveler’s name and are subject to strict regulations by the respective wildlife authorities. This means that refunds or changes for primate permits are often limited and governed by park management policies.
Itinerary Changes After Booking
Our team works closely with travelers to design detailed itineraries before confirmation. However, if changes are requested after the booking has been confirmed, additional charges may apply. These charges may arise due to modification fees from lodges, airlines, transport providers, or park authorities. We always strive to accommodate changes where possible, but adjustments to confirmed arrangements may affect the overall cost of the safari.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and travelers may need to cancel their safari. Our cancellation policy aims to be fair while also considering the commitments made with service providers across Africa.
If a safari is cancelled at least one month before the start date, travelers are eligible for a full refund minus bank transfer or transaction charges. This timeframe allows us to release reserved services and minimize costs with our partners.
If a cancellation occurs within one month of the safari start date, a full refund cannot be guaranteed. By this time, many service providers such as lodges, guides, transport companies, and park authorities may have already received payments that are non-refundable. In such cases, any potential refund will depend on the policies of the individual service providers involved in the itinerary.
